● Module 3 – Future Tenses – Talking about Plans and Predictions
Lesson 9:
Future Simple – Will.
Learning Objective:
To make spontaneous decisions during meetings and professional predictions about the market.

Lesson 9:
I will.
Who can handle this?
You are in a meeting and a problem arises. Your boss asks, “Who can handle this?”. If you want to show proactivity, you need “Will”. It shows you are deciding now, in the moment.
The Future Simple is used to make spontaneous decisions and professional predictions.
We use will + verb.
- Intent: Spontaneous decisions, promises, or general predictions.
- Note: In business, “will” sounds professional for offers of help.
- Examples:
- I will send you the minutes after the meeting. (Eu enviarei a ata após a reunião.)
I think the market will recover next quarter. (Eu acho que o mercado irá se recuperar no próximo trimestre.)
Now let’s have some Active Practice.
- Decision: Someone says, “We need a volunteer for the presentation.” Respond using “I will…”.
- Prediction: Use “I think…” to predict one change in your industry for 2027.
- Promise: Write a one-sentence promise to a client regarding a deadline.
Answers
