Have you ever…
Have you ever led a team?
During a job interview, you are asked: “Have you ever led a team?”. This is not about when you did it, but the fact that you have the experience now.
The Present Perfect, use this tense to connect the past to the present.
We use have/has + past participle.
- Intent: To connect the past to the present (experience or results).
- Examples:
- I have implemented this software before. (Eu já implementei este software antes.)
- The team has reached the quarterly goal. (A equipe alcançou a meta trimestral.)
Now let’s have some Active Practice.
- Completion: “I _______ (work) with international stakeholders.” (Answer: have worked).
- List-making: List three professional tools you have used in your career.
- Question: Ask a colleague if they have finished a specific task: “Have you…?”
Answers
Completion: “I _______ (work) with international stakeholders.” Answer: have worked.

Answer: I have used; Microsoft Word, Excel and Canva.
